Did You Hear About The Dahlia Petals?

A graphic design poster for the poem. Written on it is the title 'Did You Hear About The Dahlia Petals?' and below '01 November' and 'Fior di Luna' with a black and white butterfly cut out in the middle.

19 weaves of a dahlia,

all wilting into the

     most certain of all dooms.

I've put away my garden

for so long now

in hopes of a stronger hope.

There has to be some

residue of significance in

     this remembrance of nothingness.

I must have counted enough Bougainvillaeas

to make the loveliest bouquet

     of fragrant roses.

Say, why did no one ever question

my solace

in a futile attempt to break off my trance?
